Introduction in the field of micro engineering. Description of typical products. Actuators and sensors in micro engineering. Magnetic circuits. Optical components. Bearings in micro engineering, micro manipulators. Analysis of friction, precision and reliability. Spring elements. Finite element method as a design tool. Micro engineering in medical instrumentation.
