Detailed description of topics:

The student needs to have basic knowledge about electrology, for example: Current conducting in a solid material;Voltage: law from Ohm, calculations with resistance networks, laws from Kirchhoff; Electrical energy and power: law from Joule; Magnetic fields: first and second law of Maxwell, mechanical force in a electromagnetic system; AC theory: AC voltages and currents, three phase systems. This can be found in two lecture notes: "Inleiding Elektriciteitsleer".
Several subjects from the Electrical Energy technics: transformers, synchronous machines, DC machines, induction machines, power converters, drive systems.
