description of topics: :
1. Reliability, maintainability, availability of marine systems. 2. Fault-tree-analyses and event-tree-analyses, FMECA, failure behaviour. 3. Maintenance and condition monitoring. 1. Principle of resilient mounting, influence of damping and foundation stiffness, transmission ratio. 2. Resilient mount with multiple degrees of freedom, calculation method, elastic center of a resilient mount. 3. Design of a resilient mount, requirements, selection and location of springs, stability of the mount, properties of rubber springs. 4. Balancing of Diesel engines, free forces and free moments, influence of free forces and moments on resilient and fixed mount. 1. Simulation of a Diesel engine propulsion system. 2. Modelling of a Diesel engine with governor, fixed and variable pitch propellers, ship. 3. Simulation exercise with SIMULINK (mt213 d2) |
