Remarks (specific information about assesment, entry requirements, etc.): The entire course is divided into 4 subcourses which are examined separately. Each student decides, in consultation with his graduate advisor, of which of the 4 subcourses he/she has to take the exam. The final result is taken to be the arithmetic mean of the subresults. A subresult only counts if it is 5 or higher. The (written) exams are taken during the following periods:
One has to sign up for each exam at the building Julianalaan 132, first floor, near the exam administration. |
|
Goals: To acquire a number of mathematical techniques and insights necessary for solving all kinds of model equations of technical and physical nature, by either analytical or numerical methods. |
