Detailed description of topics:
Application of knowledge about manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, engineering statistics and dynamics in the area of machine tool design.
Subjects:

  • Functional specifications for machine tools.

  • Types of machine tools for cutting operations.

  • Flexible automation of machine tools, numerical control and flexible manufacturing systems.

  • Calculations of major machine dimensions, based on technological data

  • Design of machine tool structures.

  • Calculations of static and dynamic behaviour.

  • Design of spindles and guideways for machine tools.

  • Design of servodrives for CNC machine tools.

  • Application of electronic equipment for machine tools.
