  • Types of hullforms and propulsors.

  • Resistance components: Viscous wake, wave resistance, form drag.

  • Scaling rules and model tests.

  • Extrapolation of resistance and propulsion tests

  • Basics of cavitation.

  • Design of propellers using systematic series (B-series)
