Remarks (specific information about assessment, entry requirements, etc.):

A written examination will assess the individual knowledge level. Next, assessment will be based on the laboratory project and the case study.

Goals:

Gaining knowledge and skills in industrial assembly, in order to be able to (guide the) development and implementation of assembly systems.

Computer use:

Laboratory project(s):

Programming of an assembly system. A case study, to be done group-wise, focuses on the design of an assembly system for a given industrial product. The company which provided the product will be visited.

Design content:

Design of assembly systems, (re)design of a product from the viewpoint of assemblability.

Percentage of design: 70%
