The course treats the relationship between the design of the product and the design of the production. In particular attention is being paid to the structuring of the product and the structuring of the production. The course treats the following subjects:

  • product structures, design of product structures
  • production structures, design of production structures
  • performance requirements on product and production structures
  • methods for integrated design of the product and the production

Presence during the course is obligatory. DFA case study using a computer system is obligatory. Assessment is done on basis of an examination during the course.

  • DFA case study on PC.
  • Production simulation on PC’s.
