Detailed description of topics:
The machine runs, but for how long and what maintenance is required, what machine temperatures will occur? In this coarse the fundamental aspects of service life, reliability and performance of machines and mechanisms are treated. Subjects included are friction, frictional heating, loadability, stick-slip, accuracy, wear, reliability, maintenance, lubrication and material selection.
