Research Theme |
Machining Process Simulation
based on ISO14649 |
|
Brief Explanation |
ISO14649 is new language
standards designed for CNC controller to perform intelligent and autonomous
functions as well as its original controlling function. This research topic
aims to develop a machining process simulator including 3D machine tools
models. This software will be conveniently used for graphically demonstration
of ISO14649 data. |
|
Research Steps |
1. Literature survey (one
month) 2. Understanding ISO14649
and testing the sample program written in C++ (one month). 3. Development of the
simulator (two month) 4. Demonstration and
evaluation (one month) |
|
Period |
5 months, but can be extended as
a 10-month project, by including real NC machine operation. |
|
Necessary Background, Knowledge,
Skills |
