Research Theme		Product Minimization
Brief Explanation		Some products are getting smaller and smaller. The human motorization is not good enough. Desktop factories with a very high degree of automation are developed. The topic for the project is to build a model of such a desktop factory and try to simulate the production.
Research Steps		1. Literature survey (one month) 2. Model development (three months) 3. Model testing and computer implementation (one month)
Period		5 months, but can be extended as a 10-month project
Necessary Background, Knowledge, Skills		Fundamental knowledge about manufacturing systems. Computer programming skills. If necessary, some references can be specified.
