Research Theme |
Dynamic simulation
of humans/humanoid robots |
|
Brief Explanation |
Humans (and the
humanoid robots we are aiming at) can do a lot of very complex operations
(like walking) particularly using dynamic effects of their linkage. This research
investigates dynamic simulation of humans and humanoid robots based on
simulation models. It is not the aim to implement these on a hardware
platform. |
|
Research Steps |
Depending on the
preference of the candidate(s), this subject can either be: -
theoretical: study of representation / approximation issues -
simulation oriented: enhancement of existing simulators -
application oriented: applications to obstacle avoidance and other
robot skills. |
