|
Research Theme |
Development of
ecodesign methodology |
|
Brief Explanation |
Environmentally
Conscious design (or ecodesign) is an important area of engineering design.
But, methodologies for ecodesign might differ according to cultural,
technological, and legislative differences between EU and Japan. This
research aims at developing a ecodesign methodology by referring these
differences. |
|
Research Steps |
1. Literature survey (one
month) 2. Field study visiting
factories and recyclers (one month) 3. Implementing ecodesign
methodology (two months) 4. Case study with the
methodology (one month) |
|
Period |
5 months, but can be
extended as a 10-month project, by including practical case studies. |
|
Necessary Background,
Knowledge, Skills |
Fundamental knowledge
about environmentally conscious design. Computer programming
skills. If necessary, some
references can be specified. |
